The TrueVulgarians are a brother-sister duo hailing from the greater Cleveland, Ohio area who have been singing together for longer than they care to admit.  An independent, unsigned band, The TrueVulgarians feature original songs.  Music and lyrics by Bill Thompson who performs lead vocals and acoustic guitar accompaniment.  Jacki Grapentine performs back-up vocals. 

 

The music crosses many genres including folk, rock, folk-rock and country.  The TrueVulgarins strive to create raw and honest songs ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous, many of which touch upon political and social issues of the day. 

 

The band was pleased to be named Artist of the Month by Mixposure.com and the recepient of the Rock Song of the Year Award (2013) for their tune "Easy Way Out".  The TrueVulgarians also receive regular airplay on 440South.com and were named as featured artists on the now defunct loopradio.net.  All of the music is available for streaming and download without cost.
